Running rampant!

Ok, so I was ...

Hammered, but what do you expect on the first night of vacation in the British Virgin Islands.  The year, 2000, the bar, Billy Bones! 22 shots worth!

So about me, I do almost any and everything, love to SCUBA dive, enjoyed sailing that year, just can't stop me from doing my volunteer jobs (AEMT-Critical Care, Interior Firefighter, Rescue & Recovery SCUBA Diver, Former Water Safety Instructor, First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, Web Design).  I just never have enough to do.  Of course my girlfriend would disagree.

I bust my tail daily for work with EDS (Electronic Data Systems), love my job, and managed to become an honored co-author of the First Jointly Branded EDS & Sun Microsystems whitepaper on Solaris Containers.  Apart from that, I am the wiz-kid to preventative maintenance and patching, and it seems to haunt me so much I can't get away to better things!

All to often, our lives run rampant, and get the best of us.  Now, I think I am realizing this and slowing down, taking smaller steps, one by one, and adjusting to a more adult life.

My buddy, Joost, gave me a weird Dutch saying, something like House, Tree, Animal, don't ask but its supposed to reference settling down in life (first the house, wife, pet, kids, etc).  Got to love his analogies, they perplex me at times :-)
